Overall Theme: The acts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Person of the Trinity who is active in our everyday lives. In almost every instance that the Holy Spirit is mentioned, He is doing. He is present in the Genesis story in creating both humanity and the world around us and He continues to intervene in our lives. He is a worker and a mover in creation – but also within us. Here are some of the acts and scripture verses that show what the Holy Spirit does.

Day One: The Holy Spirit lives with believers and lives in believers.
John 14:16-17, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 2 Corinthians 13:14

Day Two: The Holy Spirit gives us power.

Day Three: The Holy Spirit intercedes and helps us pray.

Day Four: The Holy Spirit teaches and reminds Christians of what Christ said.

Day Five: The Holy Spirit sanctifies and helps us to obey God’s Word.

Day Six: The Holy Spirit helps Christians kill sin and convicts the world of guilt in regard to sin.

Day Seven: The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual gifts.

Day Eight: The Holy Spirit speaks, hears and has feelings.

Day Nine: The Holy Spirit calls, sends men to work and appoints them to office.
